• Accountable for performing day‑to‑day non‑clinical pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers within authorized company policies, laws, regulations, and business ethics.
• Lead performance management of pharmacy technicians: training, coaching, discipline, and termination decisions.
• Develop and schedule pharmacy technician personnel, ensuring timely training completion.
• Assist pharmacists in patient care: registration, data entry, medication preparation, counting, verification, and healthcare services such as vaccines.

• Engage customers by greeting and offering assistance with products and services; resolve complaints and answer non‑clinical questions.
• Build strong relationships, anticipate needs, and proactively offer services to enhance the experience.

• Assist pharmacist with delivery of patient care, healthcare services, inventory management, and non‑clinical tasks.
• Execute independent judgment to delegate, direct, and assign non‑clinical work ensuring on‑time completion.
• Prepare and file required reports and records for company and government agencies.
• Manage workflow, maintain cleanliness, order supplies, and coordinate daily schedule.
• Oversee inventory preparation, recordkeeping, security safeguards, and asset protection.
• Ensure compliance with Good Faith Dispensing policy and handle prescription errors per company procedures.
• Process insurance claims, follow up with insurers, and participate in third‑party audits.
• Support Store Manager and Pharmacy Manager with financial analysis and operational quality improvement.
• Coordinate community outreach, immunization clinics, and retail partnership relationships.

• Lead technician performance management: discipline, suspension, termination, and attendance monitoring.
• Hire, onboard, train, and schedule technicians, ensuring timely training compliance.
• Identify knowledge gaps and support training through hands‑on instruction or learning modules.
• Monitor licensure, registration, and certification compliance using company resources.
• Adhere to selection, recruitment, record retention, and training procedures per local, state, and federal laws.

• Maintain PTCB certification and follow state certification requirements.
• Keep current knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare.
• Obtain necessary certifications, education credits, and training such as LTMP e‑modules.
• Seek professional development through performance improvement plans and mentor feedback.

• Communicate with pharmacy team, relaying messages from support center or key emails.
• Participate in store/pharmacy meetings, including 5‑minute meetings and weekly check‑ins with Store Manager.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations).

• Previous people management or leadership experience.
• Previous work experience with Walgreens with an exceeding expectation on last performance evaluation.

The current salary range for this position is $22.50 per hour – $31.00 per hour.
