About The Job
In this role, the CT Technologist performs computerized tomography procedures at a technical level that does not require constant supervision. The role requires independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
What You'll Do
- Participate in advanced research projects and assist in developing new procedure protocols.
- Act as the CT technical expert for the department and troubleshoot equipment issues, arranging repairs in the absence of the assistant manager.
- Explain procedures to patients and answer any pre‑exam questions.
- Obtain patient history pertinent to the exam.
- Produce high‑quality CT images and generate 3‑D images within proper time parameters.
- Adhere to procedure protocols at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Here Is What You'll Need
Minimum
Required:
- Associate degree or equivalent training acquired through work experience or education.
- Specific degree(s):
Radiologic Technology. - New Graduate or 1‑2 years of previous related experience.
- Cross training opportunities from Rad Tech to CT scan (available only for full time).
Licensure/Certification s – Required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA).
- Computer Assisted Tomography (CT Technologist).
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Pay Range: $35.00 – $57.00 per hour (Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles).
