Location:

Loyola Medical Center, Maywood, IL. Easy access to I-290 and I-55. This is a part-time, evening shift position.

• Part-Time (.5) FTE, 20 hours per week
• Evening Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm
• Every other weekend required

In this role, the CT Technologist performs computerized tomography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs technical procedures that require independent judgement and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for CT diagnosis.

• Participates in research projects and assists in developing new procedure protocols. Serves as the CT technical expert for the department. Troubleshoots equipment and arranges repairs in the absence of the assistant manager.
• Explains the procedure to the patient and answers questions prior to the exam.
• Obtains patient history pertinent to the exam.
• Produces high-quality CT images and generates 3-D images within proper time parameters.
• Adheres to procedure protocols at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Associate degree or equivalent training via work experience or education
• Specific Degree:
  Radiologic Technology
• New Graduate or 1-2 years of related experience
• Cross-training from Rad Tech to CT scan available (Only avx for full time)

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA)
• Computer Assisted Tomography (CT Technologist)
• CPR from American Heart Association

Pay Range: $35.00 - $57.00 per hour
