Overview

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon – Loyola Medicine. The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at Loyola University Health System has an immediate opening for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Plastic Reconstructive surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with expertise in microsurgery with an emphasis on breast, lower extremity, and lymphedema reconstruction. A microsurgical fellowship is preferred. The preferred candidate will be active academically and have the opportunity to pursue clinical research interests.

Clinical

Base

The Division has a main clinical base at Loyola University Medical Center, with Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and the Hines VA Hospital also attended by the group. Loyola Medicine is a qua ternary care system based in the western suburbs of Chicago that includes Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) in Maywood, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital (GMH) in Melrose Park, Mac Neal Hospital in Berwyn and convenient outpatient locations offering primary and specialty care services from 1,772 physicians throughout Cook, Will and DuPage counties.

Responsibilities
  • Provide plastic and reconstructive surgical care with emphasis on microsurgical techniques, including breast reconstruction, lower extremity reconstruction, and lymphedema procedures.
  • Engage in academic activities and pursue clinical research interests.
  • Participate in patient care across Loyola Medicine’s main clinical base and affiliated hospitals.
Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
  • Expertise in microsurgery with emphasis on breast, lower extremity, and lymphedema reconstruction.
  • A microsurgical fellowship is preferred.
  • Active academically with the opportunity to pursue clinical research interests.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive starting compensation between $159,000 – $985,945
