Overview
The Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy at Loyola University Medical Center is recruiting a board-certified or board-eligible Vascular Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This is an opportunity to join a well-established group of academic vascular surgeons led by Division Director Dr. Bernadette Aulivola, and Department of Surgery Chair, Dr. Vivian Gahtan. The ideal candidate would possess an interest in developing a broad practice in vascular disease care with particular interest in complex aortic disease management.
The candidate would work closely with our recently appointed Co-Director of Loyola's Center for Aortic Disease, Dr. Michael Soult. The position includes clinical care responsibilities at Loyola Medicine and the Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital. Dependent on the candidate, there is an opportunity to pursue a leadership role as Aortic Director or designated research time at the Hines VA Hospital.
There are departmental and institutional resources to support academic endeavors as well.
- Provide clinical care across vascular disease programs, with emphasis on complex aortic disease management.
- Collaborate with the Center for Aortic Disease leadership and participate in related patient care, research, and educational activities.
- Engage in academic activities as appropriate to rank, including potential leadership roles and/or protected research time.
- Contribute to the missions of Loyola Medicine and the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital through clinical service and scholarly work.
- Board-certified or board-eligible Vascular Surgeon.
- Eligible for the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
- Interest in developing a broad practice in vascular disease care with a focus on complex aortic disease.
- Ability to work collaboratively with academic and clinical teams.
- Competitive starting compensation between $159,000 and $985,945
