Overview
The Department of Neurological Surgery at Loyola University Chicago (LUC) Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago’s western suburbs is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible neurosurgeon to join the full-time faculty in our growing Neuroscience Program. This physician should have special interest and fellowship training in functional/stereotactic neurosurgery and general neurosurgery, respectively. This position would be a joint hire with a partner hospital with an expected practice of 50% at Loyola and 50% at our partner hospital.
Diverse research opportunities are abundant and expected at the translational, basic science, and/or clinical level. Candidates with significant potential for extramural funding are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities- Provide clinical neurosurgery care with a 50% practice at Loyola and 50% at the partner hospital as part of a joint hire.
- Engage in diverse research opportunities at translational, basic science, and/or clinical levels; pursue extramural funding potential.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in neurosurgery.
- Special interest and fellowship training in functional/stereotactic neurosurgery and general neurosurgery, respectively.
- Competitive starting compensation between $159,000 – $985,945
- Salary based on Academic Rank and Experience
