TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing assignment in Mayfield, Kentucky.

We’re looking for Medical Surgical RNs for an immediate opening in Mayfield, KY. The right RN should have 1‑2 years recent acute‑care experience.

As a Med Surg RN, you will conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients’ immediate conditions or needs. You will perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician, document patient findings, and provide education and support to patients’ families.

As a Medical Surgical Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to:

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment of patients.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.

Physical requirements:

stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs k in a fast‑paced environment with patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.

Requirements: BLS, ACLS, CPI, 1.5 years experience. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
