Position Summary
The Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides high‑quality, timely, and compassionate care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, rapid assessment skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive triage and rapid patient assessments
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to ER protocols
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
Monitor, document, and evaluate patient responses to treatment
Operate and troubleshoot ER equipment, including cardiac monitors and IV pumps
Provide patient and family education regarding care plans and discharge instructions
Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
Active RN license
(state or compact)
Minimum 1–2 years of recent ER experience
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
(TNCC preferred)
Proficiency in emergency nursing procedures and equipment
Strong critical‑thinking and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a high‑acuity environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with rural or community hospital ER settings
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
Contract Details
Night shift: 7P–7A
Full‑time hours, typically 36 hours per week
