IT Applications Project Manager
Contract, Contract-to-Hire
Hybrid in Mayfield Heights, OH
Eligibility:
The IT Applications PM is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering application-focused IT projects within a manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to implement, enhance, and support enterprise and plant-level applications. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Agile/ Scrum methodologies, solid IT fundamentals, and proven experience managing projects that support manufacturing operations and business processes.
Qualifications- US Citizenship is required due to Federal Government project requirements.
- Approximately 10 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 5 years in a Project Manager or similar leadership role
- Experience managing IT applications projects within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Experience supporting enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, MES, PLM, quality, supply chain, or related systems)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with IT governance, SDLC, and change management processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT applications projects, including implementations, upgrades, integrations, and process improvements
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, quality, supply chain, and corporate IT stakeholders to gather requirements and align priorities
- Apply Agile and Scrum practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, while adapting to hybrid or waterfall delivery when needed
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams, including developers, analysts, infrastructure teams, and third-party vendors
- Track and communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders and leadership
- Ensure projects adhere to IT governance, security, and change management standards
- Support user acceptance testing, deployment planning, and post-implementation stabilization activities
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery, team collaboration, and application performance
