Wound Care Education & Training Director

Lead the Wound Care Education & Training Department for Ameri Wound, LLC, delivering training and mentorship across affiliated long‑term care facilities, primarily skilled nursing homes.

• Lead the Wound Care Education & Training Department
• Travel to Ameri Wound affiliated LTC facilities—as required, primarily SNFs (approx 30% travel)
• Train providers and wound education team to assess, stage, treat, and dress a wide range of wounds
• Train providers to perform debridements and other procedures as needed
• Train providers to utilize up‑to‑date wound care equipment including negative‑pressure therapy devices and biologics
• Train providers to assess and verify the condition of patients’ skin to prevent pressure injuries and other wounds
• Conduct both group and individual training sessions to educate and update providers on current wound treatments
• Shadow and orient providers at LTCs
• Lead training, coaching, and mentoring of the Wound Education Clinical Department
• Guide, lead and conduct performance reviews/evaluations of Clinical Team members
• Work with Human Resources to conduct interviews, hiring, and coaching or counseling for the Clinical Department
• Audit clinical documentation and initiate appropriate contacts with clients and medical providers
• Assist with audits of Quality Management (QM) and MIPS processes and files
• Assist with ongoing training of Ameri Wound Providers: clinical and/or documentation issues
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Medical Director or Senior Leadership
