American Traveler is hiring a part‑time travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Wisconsin, working 2 shifts per week on a day schedule with weekend and holiday rotation requirements.
Details- Emergency Department setting
- Day shift schedule: 7am–7pm
- 2 shifts per week (part‑time)
- Every 3rd weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
- Patient population spans all ages, from pediatric to geriatric
- Patients may present anywhere along the continuum from illness to wellness
- Active WI RN license or compact license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Minimum two‑year nursing degree required; four‑year degree preferred
- Proficiency in computer‑based clinical documentation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy required
- Ability to perform triage using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5‑level triage system
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
- Performs age‑appropriate assessments and provides direct patient care across all age groups
- Conducts ESI 5‑level triage assessments for presenting patients
- Administers IV fluids, blood products, and other parenteral fluids; monitors life support and automated technical equipment
- Collaborates with physicians, peers, and ancillary departments to coordinate multi‑patient care efficiently
- Responds to emergencies and high‑stress situations in a calm, organized manner
- Participates in patient and family education, including discharge planning and teaching
- Contributes to educational experiences for pre‑hospital emergency providers and students
- Ensures rooms are stocked and equipment checklists are completed at the end of each shift
