JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Digital and IT Programming Developer defines, configures, tests, trains and supports business-related IT systems and applications. You will lead projects that will enable business improvements and perform critical analysis. Then you will develop solutions using standard programming practices and protocols to fulfill the requirements that will positively impact the business.

You will also collaborate with other Technical Analysts, Senior Technical Analysts, and end users as you work together to establish a world class industrial manufacturing environment.

Support applications and hardware in an office and manufacturing environment. Configure and troubleshoot all types of hardware used throughout a $600m business. Train and assist users as required. Responsible for supporting and applying current technology standards to satisfy customer requirements or solve business related issues.

Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential

Analyze and resolve IT issues reported from more than 1000 internal users/customers via the Service Now ticketing system. There are 100+ local users in the WI location to assist in person.

Support and adhere to Parker's Code of Ethics, ISO requirements, policies, and procedures.

Interpret user complaints and needs and quickly work to resolve.

Communicate openly and honestly with respect and a professional tone.

Learn custom and packaged systems, modify or adapt configurations and devise the most feasible and economical methods to deploy and support IT systems at 10 locations.

Analyze procedures, determine errors in logic, and make recommendations to the programming team. Then assist the IT programming team as needed.

Document established procedures for future reference. Keep IT Wiki up to date with current desk instructions.

Train and assist users as needed. IT is expected to be an expert in all things.

Set up new laptops and troubleshoot PCs, printers, and scan gun issues throughout the organization.

Manage incoming tickets (Service Now). Keep active and assigned tickets to a minimum. Work with the customer to resolve issues to their satisfaction.

Be a self-starter and take initiative to contact individuals concerning reported issues.

Think in logical terms and break down large issues into manageable pieces.

Be willing to be uncomfortable in not knowing a solution but able to research and find needed answers. Then go and resolve the issue.

Review existing and new programs and revise and refine for most effective operation.

Education and/or

Experience:

Bachelors degree (4 year) from college or university and a minimum of one year of related experience or a combination of experience and education. Two-year degree will be considered with significant experience and A+ or Network+ certifications.

Language

Skills:

Ability to communicate efficiently, read, analyze, and interpret general business topics and periodicals and technical procedures. Need to be able to understand computer program logic and general documentation. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization. Maintain good working relationships with department associates, supervisors and managers.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Any industry relevant certificates such as Comptia A+, Cisco CCNA, etc. is an added benefit.
