- ** Assess and Treat:
** Take the lead in evaluating and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders to empower individuals in enhancing their communication and swallowing abilities.
- ** Documentation Mastery:
** Ensure thorough and accurate patient documentation, including initial evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge reports.
- ** Insurance Navigation:
** Communicate with insurance companies to verify benefits and facilitate patient care.
- ** Preparation is Key:
** Prepare meticulously for evaluation and treatment sessions to provide the best patient experience.
- ** Education Advocate:
** Educate and guide staff, including nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service workers, on evaluation results and evidence-based recommendations.
- ** Create & Present:
** Develop engaging in-service presentations and educational opportunities for continued staff development.
- ** Collaborative Approach:
** Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to ensure patient-centered treatment and holistic care.
- ** Maintain Cleanliness:
** Clean and organize treatment rooms following sessions, fostering a professional environment.
- ** Patient Engagement:
** Provide reminder calls to patients, ensuring they are informed and ready for their appointments.
- ** Family Support:
** Aid patients and families in navigating the hospital system for a smoother healthcare experience.
- ** Additional Duties:
** Perform other duties as requested to support our mission and team.
** Shift Information:** - Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
** Minimum Years of
Experience:
** - Less than 1 year
** Certifications/Requirements:** - BLS/BCLS
