Dec USA is seeking a seasoned

Finance Controller to provide support to the US Finance Team with overall responsibility for day to day running of the US Team and manage preparation of monthly and yearly financial reporting for the business as directed by the Finance Director. Provide financial analysis for the Dec US Brand and reporting on external and Internal factors that impact the Company

Duties and Responsibilities Finance
  • Manage the preparation of the monthly US management financial reporting
  • Manage the preparation of the monthly Dec US Brand financial reporting
  • Participate in Dec Global Management meetings and provide support to the Management Team on financial reporting in US
  • Provide Weekly reporting for the Dec Brand identifying corrective action required to achieve financial forecasts.
  • Manage the preparation for year-end statutory requirements for Dec US.
  • Assist as required in the preparation for yearend statutory requirements for Dec US.
  • Manage the Company Expense process to ensure all visa and cash expenses are correct and entered into the Company’s accounting software, ensuring timely payment of any expenses owed to employees by the company.
  • Manage the analysis of all the Company’s expenditure as required by the Finance Director including monthly variance reporting and corrective actions.
  • Manage the fixed asset register of the Company.
  • Manage and Control all Insurance requirements for Dec US.
  • Manage the US Company’s Tax records, including import and export documentation.
  • Adhoc financial analysis as and when required from the Dec Group.
  • Control the preparation of the monthly forecast income statements for Dec US.
  • Control the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan / Budget for Dec US as directed by the Finance Director.
  • Monitor and report on External and Internal factors that will impact the Company’s Financial Performance.
Credit Control
  • Report and facilitate the credit control function for Dec US.
  • Provide Management with overdue Debtors information on a regular basis.
  • Manage the Company’s debt collection procedures.
  • Reporting of the debtor’s position as directed by the Finance Director.
  • Provide support for the commercial projects including setting up new contracts, updating systems and dealing with contract extras for Dec US.
  • Provide commercial reporting to the commercial and finance team.
  • Manage the customer requirements for provision of Bank Guarantees both Advance and Performance.
  • Management of Agent’s commission records ensuring all documentation for Dec US.
General
  • Share expertise and keep up to date with developments.
  • Ensure effective operational running of the Dec US Finance Team.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with all teams within the business.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the business, its people and processes.
  • Participate in other duties as and when required.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures within the company.
  • Carry out all duties with regard to and ensuring equal opportunity.

  • Ensure that you remain compliant with health and safety regulations and accepted safe practice at all times. Report any health and safety issues or contraventions witnessed anywhere within the business to your manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, controlling, and FP&A.
  • Experience managing a small team preferred
  • Background in
    engineering, equipment manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to operate both strategically and operationally.
  • Based in or willing to commute regularly to the
    Mauston area
