Mental Health Technician – Full Time Days

Shift: 7 am‑7:30 pm.

Responsibilities include conducting safety checks on patients, facilitating educational groups, assisting nurses with admission and discharge processes, and supporting patients with one‑on‑one sessions daily.

Arrowhead Behavioral Health is a 48‑bed psychiatric hospital located in Maumee, Ohio. We serve adult patients 18 years and older needing mental health and chemical dependency services. Inpatient offerings include drug and alcohol withdrawal management and stabilization, as well as mental health crisis management. Outpatient services extend the continuum of care to include partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, relapse prevention, and a medication administration program.

• Conduct safety checks on patients
• Facilitate educational groups
• Assist nurses in admission and discharge processes
• Support patients with one‑on‑one sessions daily

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Associate’s degree in psychology, sociology, or a related field with related experience
• CDCA from the State of Ohio with related experience preferred

Entry‑level position; no experience is required and we will train the right candidate. Preferred but not required: prior experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility, excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills, diplomacy, discretion, organizational skills, prioritization of multiple projects, and a professional demeanor and appearance.
