Due to MSG's continued growth in our Civil/Municipal Division, a new opening is available for a Civil Project Engineer!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in conjunction with other licensed engineers assisting with the design and preparation of a variety of commercial, industrial, energy, water/wastewater, and community projects throughout the Midwest.
  • Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across a variety of services sectors including Surveying, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, Site Construction, etc.
  • Perform and check various design calculations and performing various tasks as they relate to preparing a design package.
  • Prepare front-end feasibility documents, due diligence reports, and zoning studies, project development, storm water modeling and design, cost estimates, and detailed design plans.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:

  • Practical experience in design and plan preparation of site development projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience with industry design standards.
  • Understanding of guidelines and specifications.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D grading is preferred.
  • Proficiency in independent preparation of Hydraulic/Hydrologic reports is preferred.
  • The ability to engage reviewing agencies while preparing technical designs and addressing comments is a critical part of our process.
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating and coordinating with review agencies.
  • Professional Engineer's license in the state of Ohio. Additional states will be considered as well.
