JOB STATUS:
Full-Time
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
State of Ohio teaching certificate/license with demonstrated expertise in reading instruction (Reading Endorsement or Master's in Reading preferred).
In-depth knowledge of ODEW's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.
Success in providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 literacy interventions (preferred)
Skill in supporting teacher teams through coaching, modeling, professional development, and collaboration.
Good health, high moral character, and good attendance record.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Maumee City Schools seeks a Grades K-3 Reading Specialist. This building-based leader advances student growth through an MTSS framework, delivering targeted interventions, coaching staff in evidence-based literacy practices, and supporting equitable, data-driven decisions to meet diverse learner needs.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 reading interventions for students in grades K-3.
Engage in continuous improvement by using data to guide decisions and ensure supports are equitable, inclusive, and appropriately layered to meet diverse student needs.
Collaborate with and coach teachers and teams to analyze data, plan targeted interventions, and implement them effectively.
Promote a positive, student-centered school culture.
SALARY:
