Position: Academic Dean (FT)

Overview

Sole Hire, LLC is seeking an experienced and student-centered Academic Dean to provide strategic leadership for campus academic operations while ensuring excellence in educational delivery and regulatory compliance. This role plays a critical part in shaping academic culture through mentorship, data-informed decision-making, and a strong commitment to student success.

The Academic Dean partners closely with campus leadership to support faculty development, uphold academic standards, and drive continuous improvement across academic programs.

Key Responsibilities Academic Leadership & Compliance
  • Partner with campus leadership to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing faculty

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through faculty training, coaching, and performance evaluation

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and accreditation standards

  • Oversee academic policy development, implementation, and institutional planning

  • Support federal and state reporting requirements and preparation for audits

  • Maintain comprehensive and compliant faculty records

Student Success & Retention
  • Drive student retention through data monitoring, early intervention, and academic support strategies

  • Lead engaging new student orientation experiences

  • Ensure curriculum delivery meets quality and integrity standards

  • Facilitate daily retention meetings addressing academic progress, attendance, and skill development

  • Oversee satisfactory academic progress (SAP) tracking and intervention processes

  • Coordinate timely development of student and faculty schedules

  • Strengthen community engagement through advisory committees and guest speakers

Administrative Excellence
  • Monitor key academic and financial aid metrics across reporting periods

  • Generate accurate and timely reports to support leadership decision-making

  • Ensure proper documentation and processing of academic records

  • Conduct regular consultations with program leadership regarding curriculum, staffing, and resources

  • Perform classroom observations on a routine basis

  • Complete additional duties as assigned to support campus operations

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree required

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in educational management

  • Proven success in faculty mentorship and development

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Adaptability and a positive approach to change and innovation

  • Experience with Campus Vue preferred

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment
