Essential Job FunctionsThe Accounting Lead
-AR, Costing & Inventory oversees leading all activities related to Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Inventory. Direct responsibilities are to guide and support the AR Specialist to ensure workflow deadlines are met while adhering to company financial controls. Perform month-end closing and all reporting activities related to AR, Payroll & Inventory. Prepares all accounting and financial reports, ledgers and statements; interpret such financial/accounting data to ensure accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Oversees daily operations of AR Specialist & Billing.
- Review various reports and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to defined accounting standards.
- Complete monthly closing/reconciliation activities, ensuring journal entries and the general ledger are accurate.
- Assist in Intercompany Accounting at month-end, ensuring transactions between entities are accurate and complete.
- Maintain and support item numbers and costing functions within ERP.
- Supports back-up role for various accounting functions (AR, Cash Receipts, Taxes, Payroll).
- Participates in annual audit processes, ensures deadlines are met.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required. Proven relevant experience of two or more years in the same field is also required.
- Must have strong leadership skills to manage people and maintain a respectful attitude at work.
- Should possess excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Have the ability to give attention to detail and to manage multiple deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
- Positive attitude with a high level of accountability, personal drive, ambition, integrity.

- Individual’s daily routine will consist mostly of technical, administrative work with occasional exposure to the manufacturing environment, which may have some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, and atmospheric conditions. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, including a respirator, must be worn in designated areas.
- Individual must possess the ability to perform light physical activity, which includes occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, sitting, manual dexterity, repetitive hand, and finger motion.
