MAINTENANCE - MAINTENANCE MECHANIC - 2nd Shift

Overall Goal of Position:

Responsible for keeping a variety of machines, appliances, and mechanical systems operating safely and efficiently and help make Our Recipe@Sauer Brands:

Job Summary

A Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to get worse. A Maintenance Mechanic will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around the facility.

• Knowledge and proper use of tools; a wide range of knowledge with power tools and hand tools
  • Proficient with pneumatics, hydraulics, and or electrical trouble shooting
• Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints.
• Knowledge of gearboxes, conveyors, chains, pumps, and agitator systems
• Assist in other mechanical duties as required.
• Complete any and all tasks given by department management.
• Complete any and all documentation associated with the task given.
• Knowledge and proper techniques for Preventive Maintenance task

Characteristics, skills, experience, education, and performance history needed for success in the position:

• Must be willing and able to frequently stand, walk, push, pull, kneel, and reach.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance.
• Must demonstrate excellent job performance in productivity, quality, safety, and attendance.
• Willing to learn the process from the ground up and able to work in a team environment.
• Excellent Organizational and documentation skills
• Outgoing personality and good customer service skills
• Must be able to work well without supervision and within a team environment
• Display a positive and strong work ethic
• Flexible schedule with overtime
• Must be able to respond to after-hours calls for breakdowns when needed
