Tutor, Tutoring

The Tutor role at Shining Stars Tutoring Services is a part-time position located on-site in Mauldin, SC. The Tutor will provide academic instruction and support to students in a variety of subjects, develop lesson plans tailored to individual learning needs, and monitor student progress. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with parents or guardians to discuss student achievements and areas for improvement.

Tutors will foster a positive learning environment and encourage academic confidence and growth in students.

• Proficiency in subject areas such as Math, English, Science, and Social Studies
• Experience in lesson planning, individual tutoring, and adapting teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate students and create a supportive learning atmosphere
• Experience with educational software, tools, or resources is a plus
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a degree program in education or the subject area of expertise
• Patience, reliability, and a passion for education
