Our client, a well-established precision manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced CNC Machining Operator to join their 2nd shift team. This role involves operating CNC equipment from setup through production to manufacture high-quality metal components. This is a hands‑on opportunity for a skilled machinist who can work independently, maintain tight tolerances, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Do- Perform machine setups and operate CNC equipment including mills and lathes
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T specifications
- Select and secure tooling, fixtures, and materials
- Calculate and adjust speeds, feeds, coolant flow, and cutting depths
- Monitor machine performance and adjust controls as needed
- Inspect finished components to ensure specifications and tolerances are met
- Support continuous improvement efforts for quality and cost efficiency
- Assist with preventative maintenance and minor repairs
- Follow safety standards and company procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience
- Completion of machinist apprenticeship or equivalent training preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Experience holding close tolerances and performing inspections
- Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and tool geometry
- Experience with Mori Seiki, Okuma, or Haas machines is a plus
- Programming experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Team‑oriented and willing to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to speak and understand English
