The Technology Implementation Specialist will function as a liaison between business units and technology teams to deliver solutions that improve efficiency and client service. This includes eliciting requirements, analyzing workflows, and collaborating with application engineers on projects that may incorporate AI enabled features to enhance legal processes. In addition to supporting larger initiatives, this role has clear ownership of smaller application changes and enhancements, with responsibility spanning intake, requirements, coordination, testing, rollout, and post implementation follow up.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Requirements Elicitation & Documentation

Gather and document business requirements for new applications and enhancements, including AI enabled components where applicable. Own intake and requirements for smaller initiatives and incremental application changes.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with attorneys, practice support teams, and application engineers to

ensure solutions meet business needs.

Process Analysis & Optimization

Identify opportunities for improvement in legal workflows and recommend technology driven solutions, including automation and AI assisted tools. Identify recurring workflow challenges across practices and recommend application or AI driven enhancements for inclusion in the application roadmap.

Project Management Support

Assist with planning, timelines, and deliverables for technology projects.

Provide end to end delivery support from initial business need through configuration,

user acceptance testing, training, and post rollout follow up. Testing & Implementation

Testing & Implementation

Coordinate user acceptance testing and validate system functionality.

Training & Change Management

Prepare documentation and training materials for new systems and features.

Serve as a backup for training core applications such as iManage, time entry, and billing by supporting live training during major rollouts, host targeted follow up or refresher sessions, and reinforcing adoption by training directly back to documented business requirements and workflows.

Monitor solution performance and suggest enhancements, including leveraging emerging AI capabilities where appropriate. Track adoption and effectiveness of new tools and features using defined success metrics. Provide light reporting and periodic summaries highlighting trends, common pain points, and opportunities for improvement across core applications.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, or related field—or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of business analysis or implementation specialist experience in a law firm or legal services environment.
  • Experience working with application engineers and IT teams; exposure to AI-enabled tools or legal tech platforms is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with legal technology platforms and awareness of AI trends in legal services.
  • Proficiency with core law firm applications, including:
  • Document Management Systems (e.g., iManage)
  • Time Entry and Expense Reporting tools
  • Billing and Matter Management systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Email)
  • Hybrid position:
    Combination of remote and in-office work.
  • Ability to work on site during standard business hours min of 3 days per week.
  • Frequent use of computers, phones, and office equipment.
  • Occasional travel to firm offices and vendor locations.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs for equipment setup when necessary.
