Caregiver​/Direct Support Person; DSP - MATTOON, IL

We have a 2nd shift opening now available. Weekends required. Do you want an opportunity to serve with compassion and help others in our community? We seek patient and dedicated caregivers to assist adults with developmental disabilities in their neighborhood group homes. Our Caregivers / DSPs provide support to adults living in CILA homes (Community Integrated Living Arrangements) with around-the-clock care.

Developmental Foundations, a family-owned company providing quality residential services since 1986, is hiring Caregivers / DSPs for our group homes in Mattoon, IL.

• Network of support - trainers, nurses, supervisors, and co-workers

• $18.75 per hour

• DSP training is provided and paid. Once trained, you will become a certified DD Aide and will be added to the Health Care Worker Registry (HCWR).

• DSP or CNA experience beneficial, but not required.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required.
• Entry‑level position. Training is provided and paid!

• High school completion or equivalency — high school diploma, signed transcript including graduation date, or G.E.D. required.
• Successfully complete and pass background check.
• Weekend/holiday availability required.

• Companionship and caregiving.
• Housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Assistance with medication.
• Assistance with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and grooming.
• Ability to stay alert and responsive at all times.
