** Job Description
** Durable Medical Services Representatives provide customer service to clients and referral sources, conducts over-the-counter sales, prepares paperwork for processing, and monitors department supplies. This position acts as the primary liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies, ensuring the accurate intake, authorization, and delivery of medical equipment. They are responsible for managing high-volume, phone-based, online, or in-person inquiries, verifying insurance coverage, processing orders, and educating patients on product usage while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.

8:30 AM - 5 PM Monday through Friday

Required:

Driver's License; HS Diploma Pay:
Based on experience, starting at $16.94
** Responsibilities
* * Assists in account receivable  management., Assists in assembling  customer charts and filing  paperwork appropriately., Assists in resolving customer  equipment problems and  issues., Develops and maintains  working knowledge of current  home care products and  services offered, and all  applicable insurance  guidelines regarding eligibility  for coverage and  reimbursement., Ensures all billing, posting,  insurance denials, inquiries,  orders, deliveries, service, and  pickups are handled in an  accurate and timely manner.,

Gathers and coordinates all  customer information and  processes paperwork,  including preparation of  paperwork for billing process., Monitors office supply levels  and places appropriate orders  as approved by the Durable  Medical Services Manager., Performs over-the-counter  sales functions, and handles  cash transactions efficiently  and accurately. Performs the  end-of-the-day cash account  balance., Provides recommendations to  callers and walk-in customers  regarding supplies and  equipment that can be  utilized to meet the  customer’s needs.,

Screens and directs telephone  calls, and takes orders from  referral sources., Verifies insurance eligibility of  clients.
