Description
The Instructional Designer is responsible for providing instructional support for Lake Land College faculty through the design and assessment, facilitation, and implementation of traditional and alternative delivery course development services and training. The Instructional Designer acquires and maintains knowledge of current developments in andragogy and instructional technology and remains current with regional and national developments in the field. The Instructional Designer develops and provides LMS training instructional technology training, and accessibility training in collaboration with the Online Support and Instructional Specialist.

Job Requirements Education Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- At least two (2) years teaching experience; teaching experience in higher education preferred. Experience with curriculum development. Experience with online course design. Experience using learning management systems and instructional technology. Experience in organizing, leading, and facilitating events and/or training.
- Knowledge of current techniques and procedures used in the design, development, and assessment of curriculum. Knowledge of Universal Design. Demonstrated commitment to the community college philosophy of education.
- Demonstrated ability to design, produce, and assess instructional programs. Demonstrated fluency in Microsoft Office. Demonstrated ability to produce documents, video, audio, and alternative texts within the Web Content Accessibility 2.0 guidelines. Demonstrated ability to use online instructional technology (video, teleconference, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty and staff. Demonstrated ability to communicate coherently orally, in writing, and online. Demonstrated ability to work impactfully in a group setting. Ability to apply practical understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or visual form. Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple tasks within stated deadlines.
