HSHS Medical Group is recruiting an experienced BE/BC Primary Care Physician (IM or FM) to join our team at our clinic in Mattoon, IL. Mattoon is located at the intersection of interstate highway I-57 & IL Rt. 16, just 45 minutes from the University of Illinois and with easy interstate access to Chicago, St. Louis and Indianapolis.

Practice Highlights
  • Well established, growing practice with great community and hospital support
  • 100% Outpatient Practice
  • Monday‑Friday weekly schedule; option of a 4‑ or 5‑day work week
  • No call, no holidays
  • Dedicated support staff provided
  • EPIC EMR
Position Requirements
  • Unrestrictive Illinois license prior to start
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • 2+ years of prior practicing experience preferred, but not required
Compensation & Benefits Package
  • Base salary with bonus earning potential
  • PTO accrual
  • CME Reimbursement
  • Sign‑on bonus available

  • Pay range: $300,000‑$399,406 (inclusive of both family and internal med)
Education Qualifications
  • Clinical doctorate is required.
Experience Qualifications
  • Competence in delivery of healthcare services for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients is required.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Licensed physician in the state of practice is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Maintain a Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA, when applicable to their specialty.
  • Must have successfully completed, or in the process of completing, an accredited residency program.
  • Must be board certified or board eligible.
