Our corporate office, located in the Chicago area suburbs, is currently expanding, and we are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team.
YOUR ROLE AND IMPACT:
We are in search of a talented Accounts Payable Specialist to contribute to the efficiency of our organization's financial processes. As part of our growing team, you will play a crucial role in processing invoices accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities- Reviewing, sorting, and matching invoices and check requests, ensuring proper approval.
- Setting up invoices for payment via checks, ACHs, and wires.
- Entering accounting data into the ERP system.
- Verifying vendor accounts through monthly reconciliation and related transactions.
- Monitoring accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Researching and resolving invoice discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate files and documentation in accordance with company policy.
- Corresponding with vendors and responding to inquiries.
- Managing high-volume invoicing.
- Reconciling credit cards and bank activity.
- Reviewing and approving expense reports in a timely manner.
- Participating in month-end closing processes.
- Providing support to other members of the accounting team.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Excel and MS Word.
- 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable.
- Demonstrated integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving, research, and resolution skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with accounting software, such as Quick Books, or Netsuite is a plus.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.

- This position is onsite.
- Competitive pay: $65,000 - $75,000
