Laser Machine Operator

Pride Staff is seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator for an Laser Machine Operator position for a leading manufacturing facility in Matthews, NC. The primary purpose of this role is to operate and maintain our laser cutting machinery to cut various materials with a high degree of accuracy and precision. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and the desire to grow into a leadership role.

Location:
Matthews, NC 28105
Pay: $24/hr.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate the laser cutting machine, including making necessary adjustments to laser speed and intensity to achieve desired results.
• Monitor the laser machine during operation, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues when able, and perform routine maintenance to ensure maximum performance and productivity.
• Operate laser cutting, engraving, and marking machines to create products from various materials.
• Inspect and monitor the quality of all parts produced, ensuring components meet required specifications and are completed to a high degree of accuracy.
• Perform grinding and final finish work on components as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of production, machine operations, and inventory used.
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Machine Operator with specific experience operating a CNC Machine or Plasma Table.
  
  Experience with a Laser Machine is a plus, but not required.
• Demonstrated experience with grinding and finishing metal components.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent eye for detail and the ability to accurately check and measure the dimensions of components using tools like a tape measure.
• Ability to troubleshoot simple mechanical adjustments and resolve minor technical issues.
• Strong professional communication skills and the potential for future leadership.
• Able to work accurately and efficiently to meet production deadlines.

Education and Experience:

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program, previous experience, or on-the-job training a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Must have adequate balance and ability to climb, bend, stoop, and squat.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $24.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
