Compensation: $31.25 + hourly

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a long‑standing, privately owned organization in the manufacturing industry to hire an IT Support Specialist
. This onsite role is ideal for a candidate who values stability, team collaboration, and long‑term career growth. You’ll be joining a tight‑knit IT department with exceptionally low turnover, supported by leaders who have been with the company for more than two decades.

About the Role

The IT Support Specialist will provide day‑to‑day technical support across the organization while assisting with ongoing systems administration responsibilities. This role will support core business systems, hardware, and network components to ensure smooth operations across a manufacturing environment. You’ll work closely with the IT Manager and Systems Administrator while contributing to a positive and service‑oriented technology culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver hands‑on desktop, application, and systems support across the organization
  • Provide administration and troubleshooting for Microsoft 365, Windows Server/Hyper‑V, Active Directory/Azure/Entra, enterprise antivirus, and collaboration tools
  • Support hardware and peripheral setup, including PCs, Macs, printers, monitors, docking stations, and IP phones
  • Manage tickets through the helpdesk system and document solutions, processes, and procedures
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN network issues, VPN connectivity, and switch‑level problems
  • Assist with ongoing system upgrades, maintenance, and new hardware deployments
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical issues and maintain service continuity
  • Communicate effectively with end users, ensuring a positive support experience
  • Learn new technologies quickly and contribute ideas to improve IT operations
Preferred Experience
  • Exposure to Microsoft F&O or Business Central is a plus
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field OR an associate degree with 4+ years of hands‑on IT experience
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows Server/Hyper‑V, Active Directory/Azure, and modern security tools
  • Familiarity with Fresh service, Sophos, Cisco switches, VPNs, and manufacturing environments is beneficial
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Self‑driven work style with the ability to manage tasks independently
  • Certifications such as A+, CCNA, MCP, MCSA, or MCSE are a plus
