Position: Full Time Pharmacy Technician

Overview

Your Purpose: Provide world class customer service to enrich lives by treating our customers/employees in a fair and ethical manner, providing a safe, clean, inclusive environment, being a responsible member of the community, providing the right products, services, and care at the right time with fair and accurate pricing. Provide direct patient intervention by providing health and wellness services and experiences relevant to the patient as allowable by and consistent with state and federal laws.

What You''ll Do
  • Support company health and wellness initiatives
  • Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies
  • Assist pharmacist in responsibilities that do not require professional pharmacist judgment
  • Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing
  • Operate the cash register and handle transactions (credit/debit cards, EBT, gift cards, cash, checks) in accordance with cashier policies to prevent loss
  • Follow guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons; manage cash shortages and shrink guidelines
  • Answer phones and triage inquiries as appropriate
  • Complete billing procedures to assure best value to customer and company
  • Count, measure, and prepare specified products using company best practices
  • Put away legend orders
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations and customer waiting areas
  • Follow guidelines on computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of medications, devices, supplements, and supplies
  • Perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers
  • Comply with food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position
