Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated violin instructor to join our faculty at Charlotte Academy of Music. If you have a passion for music education and are a skilled violinist with teaching experience, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities:

* Provide violin lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.

* Ability to teach other musical instruments a plus. Please indicate upon applying for position.

* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students, inspiring a love for music.

* Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and goals.

* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

* Regularly communicate with each student's parents/guardians regarding progress and goals.

* If proficient in other instruments, offer lessons in those areas.

* CAM faculty members have the opportunity to participate in other teaching opportunities such as workshops, master classes, and summer camps throughout the year.

Experience:

* Proficiency in violin instruction with a strong understanding of music theory and how to prepare students for concerts and auditions.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

A minimum daily teaching schedule of at least 4 after school hours and a commitment of at least 12 months is required. Many of our instructors teach 5+ hours several days per week. This position is flexible, allowing for 1-3 teaching days depending on the instructor's availability.

A phone interview will be arranged with qualified candidates, followed by an in-person interview with the owner.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
