Harbor View Creative Learning Center in Matthews, North Carolina, is looking for a Toddler Teacher's Assistant with a qualifying letter to join our team!

Before your first day
, you will need a North Carolina qualifying letter, a recent TB test, and a physical.

Pay starts between $16.00 - $18.00 based on education and experience. On-going pay raises for all employees are awarded based on meeting program standards and expectations. If you are a good fit for our program, we love to promote and help all our teaching staff grow! Career advancement is always available, and we are willing to assist.

• All Employees will accrue Personal Time and PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
• Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, applied to each employee s policy, and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
• Holiday pay will be paid based on your individual average hours worked and will be paid to each employee after their 60-day probationary period.

• We will help you obtain your CDA (Child Development Associate)

• Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for two-year-olds.
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children.
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments.
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).
• Track children s progress and report to parents
• Helping children with potty training
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children s background and psyche.
• Collaborate with other educators.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
• Qualifying letter (Needed before the first day)
• TB test and Physical
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to act as a mediator between children
• Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
• Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
