Overview
The basic functions of the Project Engineer are to:
- Develop and implement a logistics and tracking system for all orders and deliveries, including assisting with site delivery reservations and needed equipment.
- Assist with employee security and clearance tracking requirements per General Contractor and/or Owner.
- Assist with tool and equipment rentals/returns and tracking of rented equipment.
- Develop a testing log and filing system for all site testing of all systems.
- Submittal review, processing, and tracking.
- RFI review, processing, tracking, and posting.
- Participate in productivity tracking and forecasting.
- Tracking the most current drawings and updates.
- Change order pricing and development.
- Quality assurance, quality control and compliance checks.
- Attend jobsite meetings as required.
- Work within the commissioning process to organize pre-functional checklists, start-ups, tech coordination and other items required for a successful job start up and completion.
- Work with General Contractor(s) on miscellaneous reporting, meetings and updates.
- The Project Engineer must have excellent written communication skills.
- Must have problem solving ability, anticipate problems, and solve them with minimal costs.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle difficult situations and perform well under pressure.
- Must be able to provide other employees with training, direction, and motivation.
- Must be able to assist with establishing schedules and monitor progress against those schedules.
- Need a high work ethic, moral and personal integrity, and honesty.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with suppliers, customers, trade partners and other Precision Plumbing employees.
- Must be mature, flexible, and self-motivated.
- Exemplify professionalism in personal appearance, manner, dress, and leadership style.
- Must have excellent computer skills.

- Education
: A high school diploma is required; a four-year college degree in Construction Management is preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted to fulfill this requirement. - Experience
:
Preferred 1-3 years of experience
The Project Engineer is granted all necessary authority to complete the tasks listed under the position description. This authority includes, but may not be limited to:
- To take any reasonable action necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position if it is consistent with established company policy and sound business judgment.
- This position does not have the authority to supersede the authorities granted to the Senior Project Manager, Project Manager or Foremen. All project decisions will be made by the Senior Project Manager, Project Manager and/or Foreman.
This person is directly accountable to the Senior Project Manager and/or VP of Construction for the accomplishment of all aspects of the job to which he/she is assigned.
