Summary
As a Sr. Equipment Engineer, you will lead the breakdown of equipment, improve equipment for the program and design to increase overall efficiency and productivity. You will also provide education for controls with the plant to distribute company-based knowledge for company-specific equipment.
Responsibilities- Analyze OEE for frequency of breakdown and up time for daily production
- Reporting on OEE (Micro stop, BM, and yield) and make plan for improvements (35% of time spent on this responsibility)
- Complete production work order for technology-based and create design (example: PLC program based and redesign of line) and monitoring equipment running post improvement (30% of time spent on this responsibility)
- Research new technology to be implemented for production equipment (15% of time spent on this responsibility)
- Install new technology to the line (example: Installation of lasers) (10% of time spent on this responsibility)
- Provide support to other engineers on tasks including delegating work orders to equipment and controls engineers (10% of time spent on this responsibility)
- Train other engineers with shared responsibilities (including in their percentage of each responsibility)
- Complete daily documentation and audits, as required by position
- Follow established work instructions
- Adhere to safety requirements at all times, including the use of proper PPE
- Adhere to general and position-specific dress code requirements
- Participate in, and successfully complete, any and all training requirements
- Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience
- 7+ years of experience with equipment
- Install, modify, analyze, repair and test tools, machines and other equipment
- Analyze equipment breakdown data
- Corrective actions
- MS Office Suite
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with other departments
- Internal/External Customer Interaction
- Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours
- Safety glasses
- Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours
