Job SummaryWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health (OSHA) guidelines and company policies. The Safety Coordinator will play a key role in promoting a culture of safety, conducting training, and reducing workplace risks through inspections, reporting, and corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across all departments
- Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions
- Coordinate and lead safety training sessions (PPE, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, etc.)
- Maintain all safety records, documentation, and training logs for compliance purposes
- Develop, review, and improve safety policies and standard operating procedures
- Serve as a key point of contact for safety concerns; lead toolbox talks and team safety meetings
- Support supervisors and management in identifying and resolving safety issues
- Oversee emergency preparedness procedures, including fire drills and evacuation plans
- Manage waste collection, segregation, and disposal processes to ensure a safe and clean facility
- Facilitate new hire orientation and ongoing safety training programs
- Track and manage safety supplies such as PPE, first aid kits, and signage
Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental science, or related field preferred
OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
1–3 years of experience in a safety-related role (manufacturing, construction, or logistics preferred)
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and best safety practices
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to respond effectively in emergencies and make sound decisions under pressure
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools
Combination of office and production floor settings
PPE use and adherence to safety protocols required
Standing, walking, and inspecting facilities for extended periods may be necessary
Full-time schedule with occasional evening or weekend hours for training or incident response
