Registered Nurse-Day Shift

JOB PURPOSE

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is in a leadership and educator role, providing both patient care and education to direct reports, including researching, training, guiding, and providing instruction to any direct reports.

• Assesses the full scope of patient needs using the nursing process on a continuous basis.
• Provides a safe environment for patients and employees through identifying, correcting, and reporting health and safety hazards.
• Cooperates with distribution of resources to maintain a therapeutic environment.
• Maintains interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors and co-workers.
• Accountable for nursing practice through planned and continuous professional growth and development.
• Uses knowledge and judgment needed to meet the nursing needs of patients.
• Serves in a leadership role through clinical practice, supervision, teaching and research.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and regulations to give and evaluate patient care.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Ohio.
• Working knowledge of how a medical office runs.
• At least one year of experience working in the medical field would be preferred but not required.
• BLS or CPR required.

• Ability to lift minimum 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities in a facility with multiple levels and without an elevator or mechanical transportation.
