JOB PURPOSE
The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is in a leadership and educator role, providing both patient care and education to direct reports, including researching, training, guiding, and providing instruction to any direct reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Assesses the full scope of patient needs using the nursing process on a continuous basis.
- Provides a safe environment for patients and employees through identifying, correcting, and reporting health and safety hazards.
- Cooperates with distribution of resources to maintain a therapeutic environment.
- Maintains interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors and co-workers.
- Accountable for nursing practice through planned and continuous professional growth and development.
- Uses knowledge and judgment needed to meet the nursing needs of patients.
- Serves in a leadership role through clinical practice, supervision, teaching and research.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Required Skills for this position are but not limited to:
- Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written, oral, and communication skill.
- The ability to adapt to new software, equipment, and tasks that take place daily.
- Documentation Skills.
- Analyzing Information.
- Creating a Safe, Effective Environment.
- Infection Control.
- Ability to react calmly in emergency situations.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and regulations to give and evaluate patient care.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Ohio.
- Working knowledge of how a medical office runs.
- At least one year of experience working in the medical field would be preferred but not required.
- BLS or CPR required.

- Ability to lift minimum 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities in a facility with multiple levels and without an elevator or mechanical transportation.
- Operates a computer and keyboard.
