Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care to patients with various diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain. This role requires proficiency in MS/Tele, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code team utilization, blood product administration, and central/peripheral/PICC line management. The RN will work 12-hour shifts and provide weekend coverage every other week.

Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care to patients with diagnoses such as COPD, Pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Utilize Rapid Response/Code teams as needed.
- Administer blood products.
- Manage central, peripheral, and PICC lines.
- Start and maintain IVs.
- Provide care for patients with CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) and seizure disorders.
- Manage patients experiencing substance withdrawal.
- Manage and maintain BiPAP/CPAP and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC).
- Administer oxygen and manage oxygen tanks.
- Implement isolation precautions and utilize PPE.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- MS/Tele skills.
- Epic experience.
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias.
- Management of dysrhythmias.

Special Considerations:

- Weekend coverage every other week (EOW).
- Unit does not accept first-time travelers.

- 7:30 AM - 7:30 PM shifts.
