Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care to patients with diagnoses such as COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain. This role involves patient assessment, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The RN must be proficient in managing dysrhythmias, administering blood products, and handling various lines (central, peripheral, PICC).

Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care to patients with various diagnoses.
- Perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Administer medications and monitor patient response.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Administer blood products.
- Manage central, peripheral, and PICC lines.
- Start and maintain IVs.
- Respond to CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) and seizure disorders.
- Manage patients experiencing substance withdrawal.
- Manage and maintain BiPAP/CPAP and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC).
- Administer oxygen and manage oxygen tanks.
- Implement isolation precautions and use PPE.
- Collaborate with Rapid Response/Code teams.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- MS/Tele skills.
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias.
- Management of dysrhythmias.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Epic experience

Special Considerations:

- Weekend coverage required every other week (EOW).
- Unit does not accept first-time travelers.

Scheduling:
- 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM shifts.
