Job Description:
Lead the design and development of scalable mobile automation frameworks for a next-generation, unified React Native application platform.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for React Native mobile apps (iOS & Android)
- Develop greenfield automation architecture for a new all-encompassing mobile app platform
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and release readiness
- Qualify new feature development through automation (75%) and exploratory/manual validation (25%)
- Perform device connectivity testing across IoT, home, wellness, and robotics products
- Participate in daily Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and bi-weekly releases across multiple teams
- Collaborate with U.S. and offshore (China) scrum teams
- Mentor engineers on automation best practices and promote a quality-first culture
- Remain flexible in tooling (Appium and emerging AI/natural-language-based automation tools)
- Must-Haves:
- Strong hands-on experience building mobile automation frameworks from scratch (not just writing test cases)
- Experience testing React Native applications across iOS and Android
- Solid programming skills in Java AND either JavaScript or Type Script
- Experience with Appium or similar mobile automation frameworks
- Proven experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with sprint and release cadences

- Experience qualifying new features through both automation and exploratory testing
- Strong collaboration skills across distributed teams
- Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with AI-driven or natural language-based automation tools
- Experience in connected devices, IoT, robotics, health/wellness, or consumer product ecosystems
- Experience mentoring team members on automation strategy and best practices
