Pay starts at $20.50/hr, up to $23.37/hr for higher education and/or experience.

Schedule:

Tuesday & Saturday 10:30 pm–8:30 am. Sign‑on bonus: $1,000. Additional $250 bonus if MAP Certified.

Devereux Paxton House serves co‑ed youth ages 4‑14 on a rapid reintegration care program with a 1:3 staff‑to‑student ratio. The main focus is to identify and treat safety/risk factors, barrier behaviors, and factors that precipitated placement; and facilitate reintegration of the youth to the family or the next appropriate placement in the shortest time possible.

As a Direct Support/Care Professional, you will:

• Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
• Ensure the safety and security of all youth as assigned by providing direct supervision.
• Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Engage with youth in a meaningful and positive manner, teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors, and providing positive reinforcement for the same.
• Teach and assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) living skills.
• Possess adequate organizational and communication skills needed to complete required documentation such as progress notes and incident reports.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, behavioral disorders, or autism spectrum disorders preferred.
• Must be able to attend a 2‑week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8 AM–4 PM, in Rutland, MA, followed by the schedule:
  Wednesday–Friday 2 PM–10 PM, Saturday double shift.
• Must be MAPS certified or able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
