Job Title:

Refrigeration Construction/Install Foreman
Department:
Specialty Trades

Reports to:

Director of Construction

• Lead field operations on refrigeration projects including new and retrofit walk-in installations, new box construction, refrigeration piping, hanging evaporators, installing condensers, and installation of DX air conditioning systems
• Perform commercial installs
• Deliver projects on time and minimize future warranty work
• Meet or exceed client expectations and deadlines
• Understand local codes and standard field practices
• Read and interpret blueprints and manufacturer literature
• Forecast job needs, stock lists, and headcount; manage employee schedules
• Work with internal and external PMs, GCs; attend on-site foreman meetings
• Mentor and develop apprentices
• Installation, service, and brazing experience required

• EPA 608 Universal Certification
• MA Refrigeration License
• Valid Driver's License
• Knowledge of wiring and troubleshooting refrigeration and other grocery-related equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturer literature
• Ability to forecast job needs and budget expectations
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently
• Ability to communicate effectively with contractors and clients

• Lifting approximately 50 lbs; climbing ladders and stairs; bending or stooping
• Extended periods of walking; exposure to weather conditions
• Operate motor vehicles and power/hand tools

• Willingness to continue developing skills in Plumbing and HVAC/R
