Done Right Chimney is seeking a Hearth Technician to join our skilled team. This role involves installing, servicing, and troubleshooting wood, pellet, electric, and gas stoves and inserts. Ideal candidates may come from appliance repair, HVAC, or construction trades with a strong mechanical background and willingness to learn our specialized systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Install hearth appliances and venting systems to code and manufacturer standards.
  • Service and clean pellet and wood-burning appliances.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and perform routine maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and complete digital service documentation.
  • Coordinate with permitting agencies and manufacturers for compliant installations.
Requirements
  • Daily ladder use and rooftop access are essential and non-negotiable;
    This is a Roof-Based Trade.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and in all weather conditions.
  • Prior HVAC, venting, or appliance installation experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, follow procedures, and adapt to evolving job sites.
  • Comfortable using mobile apps for inspection reports and scheduling.
