PositionWe are hiring a Pest Control Specialist. You can be a Route Technician, Universal Technician, or Start Technician.
ReportingThis position reports directly to the Service Manager of the branch located in Millbury, MA.
No Experience RequiredPrior experience in pest control and sales experience is a plus but not required. We will provide comprehensive classroom and field training to ensure you feel capable and confident to excel in your position.
Purpose of the PositionThe main goal for this role is to sell new services and re‑sell the value of existing clientele through inspections, estimates, new sales, and service. These individuals influence customer attrition and new customer growth.
Duties / Responsibilities- Regular interaction with customers to troubleshoot problems and communicate details of the service.
- Work outdoors most of the day, lift at least 50 lbs, crawl/kneel, and fit into tight spaces.
- Apply liquid treatments to the soil and perform drilling, trenching, and basic cleanup after a job.
- Enter data and documentation into mobile devices for services performed.
- Flexible to work Monday‑Saturday during the summer season.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Basic mathematical skills and problem‑solving ability.
- Clean driving record.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Pass a series of exams as part of new‑hire training.
This position will be trained by Insight’s online University Program, monitored by the Service Manager and Lead Technician, with ongoing support and supervision. Ensuring the quality of all customer relations in a courteous, respectful, and friendly manner is expected.
Certifications / LicensingAll candidates must either have an existing license/certification or acquire one with company training assistance.

- Employees work 30 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, starting the month following 60 days of employment.

- Company vehicle provided for job duties; employees may be authorized to take the vehicle home after 60 days of employment.
