Job DescriptionJohnson & Johnson has entered into an agreement to acquire Intra-Cellular Therapies, Inc. The acquisition brings us one step closer to our ambition of becoming the #1 neuroscience company worldwide. The Neuroscience Sales Specialist is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales expectations within assigned geographies.
Responsibilities- Drive sales performance to ensure sales forecasts are met or exceeded within assigned territory by calling on HCP offices and mental health community centers both in-person and virtually.
- Effectively use assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives. Customize discussions and client interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner.
- Maintain current understanding of local market and key influencers, sharing information with relevant Intra-Cellular stakeholders.
- Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers and region.
- Work with Regional Business Manager to develop a local business plan and capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities.
- Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on common objectives and share best practices.
- Accumulate timely and accurate administrative management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communication responses, and sample and expense reporting.
- Build a business plan based on the depth and breadth of customer needs, resources, and products.
- Complete all required training within the required timelines.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in healthcare sales/account management, business to business sales, or recent transition from active-duty military.
- Three or more years of sales experience in specialty pharmaceuticals preferred.
- Launch, antipsychotic, and/or bipolar sales experience highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record.
- Strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and their caregivers.
- High integrity and compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Strong sense of self-motivation, initiative, and entrepreneurial thirst.
- Track record of success in learning and adapting to evolving environments.
- Ability to be agile and adapt to virtual telemedicine environment.
- Analytical skills to assess progress against objectives and identify new opportunities.
- Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information.
- Work hours may include meetings outside of normal working hours; some domestic travel required.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Salaries range from $79,000 to $155,000. The position is eligible to participate in the company’s long-term incentive program, 401(k) plan, and other benefits. Pay TransparencySalary range for this position: $79,000 – $155,000.
