Job Summary

Prepare and cook short order foods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Promote a positive interaction and experience with outside dining guests.
  • Working with Food Service Staff to prepare food following standard company recipes and menus.
  • Adhere to food portioning standards established by company.
  • Ensure availability of supplies and foods and maintain order lists.
  • Allow adequate time for food preparation.
  • Adhere to proper food preparation and handling techniques.
  • Store food properly and safely by marking with dates and item name.
  • Report any necessary equipment repair or maintenance needed to manager.
  • Plan food production to coordinate with busy meal serving hours.
  • Maintain food preserving the quality, temperature, and appealing appearance.
  • Keep kitchen, food storage areas and coolers neat and clean at all times.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and utensils used in food preparation
  • Complete food temperature checks before service.
  • Check and maintain correct temperatures of coolers and freezers.
  • Comply with sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • Skilled in providing outstanding customer service.
  • Able to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively.
  • Prior training or experience in food service industry required.
  • Experience with deep fryer, grill, meat slicer, smoker, stove & oven.
  • Serv-Safe and Food Allergens certifications preferred.
  • High energy and stamina required.

Physical Demands

  • This is a physically demanding position.

  • Must be able to stand, bend, climb, lift, kneel, reach & push repetitively.
  • Must be tolerant of using strong and pungent cleaning products.
  • Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations in kitchen area.

Requirements

  • Shift Requirements:
    Hours may be late afternoon and evenings, including weekends & holidays.
  • Age Requirements:
    Applicants must be at least age 18.
