The primary purpose of this job is to provide inspection support for Quality to ensure that product from outside vendors is conforming to customer requirements, and medical device manufacturing/operations are performed in accordance with applicable Regulatory and Standards requirements for compliance
Essential duties and responsibilities- Adheres to Viant Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements including, but not limited to:
Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements. - Inspect vendor supplied raw material, components, and assemblies, including completion of related documentation to support product acceptance and traceability.
- In-process inspection, final inspection and/or first article inspection as required.
- Use most gaging methods in the facility, including optical comparator, VMM, CMM, calipers, micrometers, gage pins/hard gages, profilometer, and height stands.
- Understanding of GD&T and other blueprint and dimensioning methods
- Implements various product and process improvement methodologies.
- Assist in executing capability studies and test method validation.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement activities as needed.
- May assist in performing calibration activities
- Performs other functions as required
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel preferred
- Experience with Minitab is a plus
- Competence in the selection and use of Inspection Tools and Techniques.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to understand and comply with relevant Domestic and International Regulations and Industry Standards (e.g. FDA 21
CRF
820, ISO 13485:2016, QSR, etc.) - Must be able to complete prioritized tasks with minimal direct supervision
We offer market competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role is $19.00–$35.00 hourly wage. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
