We are looking for a skilled CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) to become part of our facility’s compassionate care‑giving team. The primary purpose of this position is to provide quality nursing care to residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as directed by your supervisor.
Responsibilities- Provide quality nursing care to residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice and individuality.
- Know the individualized care plan for residents and support the resident in accordance with their care plan.
- Assist in daily requirements and tasks in care and treatment of residents, including bathroom assistance, personal hygiene, dressing, mobility assistance and food intake.
- Maintain resident rights and confidentiality.
- Document all ADLs in electronic health record.
- Observe and report symptoms, reactions and other changes in condition promptly.
- Routinely turn and position residents as required by care plan.
- Comply with all aspects of residents’ rights and promptly report any incidents or evidence of resident abuse or violations of resident rights to the charge nurse or administration.
- Answer resident call bells promptly and courteously.
- Ensure that residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently.
- Takes and documents temperature, pulse and respirations rates, food and fluid intake and output, heights and weights in EHR.
- Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
- Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
