Temple Beth Elohim is seeking a dynamic, proactive, results-oriented
Philanthropy Manager to support our congregation’s mission. Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship through various events and activities. They will also be responsible for data management, ensuring that all fundraising strategies are evidence-based and highly tailored to the needs of individual donors.

Key responsibilities:- In collaboration with the Director of Philanthropy, develop and implement an annual strategic fundraising plan, including revenue goals and key performance indicators.
- Manage the planning, execution, and follow-up of fundraising events, including coordination with internal stakeholders and outside vendors to maximize engagement and revenue.
- Partner with the Finance Department to maintain an accurate and up-to-date donor database, ensuring timely gift recording and donor communication.
- Prepare regular fundraising reports for senior leadership, providing analysis and recommendations.
- Refresh existing materials and create new ones such as donor acknowledgment and appeal letters, one pagers, and other collateral that effectively convey the TBE’s mission and impact.
- Stay current on fundraising best practices and trends, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Solicit and steward annual fund donors, helping them maintain strong ties to TBE throughout the lifecycle.
- Conduct prospect research and provide detailed reports to the Director of Philanthropy
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success.
- Superior executive function skills, including organization, prioritization of tasks, and follow through.
- Pro-active, problem-solving, flexible orientation to work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with all forms of individual giving, including annual fund, major gifts, and special events.
- Proven track record of executing large, multi year projects successfully and on time. Campaign experience helpful but not required.
- Comfort with outreach to congregants by phone and email.
- Proficiency with donor management software; knowledge of Salesforce a plus.
- Passion for TBE’s mission and a commitment to its success.
- Knowledge of Jewish holidays, culture and traditions. Familiarity with the Greater Boston Jewish Community a plus.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
