Performs all manufacturing functions involving heat‑induced fusion. Adjoins components to customer specifications by Tungsten Inert Gas Welding or Silver Soldering. Represents Viant in a professional and exemplary manner before our suppliers, employees and community at large.
- Must be a certified welder.
- Works to customer requirements per Blueprints or operation sheets.
- Assuring proper fusion and weld strengths.
- Fusion rotary proficient.
- Verify the revision level for the current operation (operation sheets, blueprints).
- Verify Pc. count and all applicable documentation for completion of previous operations.
- To complete all applicable documentation for the current operation (i.e. Shop traveler sign off and first pc, inspection record sheet, and/or AQL and NCMR).
- Provide input with documentation of set‑ups, fixtures on set‑up sheets.
- Complies with work rules including those pertaining to safety, health, quality system, and Viant Quality Management System.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- TIG welding is preferred. Welding certification is a plus.
- Ability to interpret Blueprints and operation sheet.
- Thorough knowledge of welding symbols and geometric tolerance.
- Able to work with minimal assistance.
- Thorough knowledge of inspection equipment.
- Maintain organization to ISO operation procedures.
- Complete all job specific required training.
- Perform duties to achieve overall business unit metrics.
- Comply to all safety regulations, wears appropriate safety equipment as required in each area of the facility.
